On 3 September 2025, AJEA  proudly represented Portugal at the final conference of the Erasmus+ project TasteMakers, held in Vilnius, Lithuania, and hosted by the Lithuanian project partner.

The event, titled “Mentorship Event with Green Entrepreneurs and Sustainability Experts,” gathered over 30 participants from across Europe, including students, recent graduates, young entrepreneurs, youth workers, and sustainability professionals. The main goal was to inspire a new generation of green entrepreneurs ready to create more sustainable and resilient food systems.

The morning began with participant registration, followed by an official introduction to the TasteMakers project, coordinated by AJEA. Attendees had the chance to hear success stories from Lithuania, highlighting the real-life impact of the project on young people who have taken their first steps into green entrepreneurship.

A key moment of the event was the expert panel discussion, featuring:

⭕ Two green entrepreneurs

⭕ One sustainability expert

⭕ One youth worker

This open dialogue provided participants with valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of sustainable business, and encouraged an interactive exchange through a Q&A session.

The event concluded with time for feedback, reflection, mentoring, and networking, allowing participants to connect and explore future collaborations in the field of eco-innovation and youth engagement.

As coordinator of the TasteMakers project, AJEA is proud to have led an initiative that empowers youth, promotes sustainable practices, and supports innovation in the agri-food sector. While this final event marks the formal end of the project, the movement it inspired continues, through the ideas, projects, and connections it helped create.
