TasteMakers Event Hosted by Geo Club | 4th of July

On July 4, 2025, AJEA – Associação de Jovens Empreendedores Agrícolas took part in the mentorship event, held in Bucharest, Romania. Organized by Geo Club and co-funded by the European Union, the event brought together experts, youth workers, and young changemakers to explore sustainable and innovative practices in the agri-food sector.

As the coordinator of the Erasmus+ project TasteMakers, AJEA was represented by two team members who actively engaged in the event. A key highlight was the official presentation of the TasteMakers project, where its vision and achievements were introduced to the audience. The session featured an inspiring testimony from Alicia Stan, a young Romanian participant, who shared how the project empowered her to pursue her passion for sustainable entrepreneurship and equipped her with the skills to launch her own eco-conscious initiative.

The event also included contributions from various experts, such as:

– A presentation from Politehnica Bucharest on reducing food waste through the UNWASTED initiative, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Ionescu

– A talk on the benefits of urban gardens by The Legacy Bucharest team

– Presentations from other Erasmus+ projects including Food4Thought and EcoMinds Connect

This mentorship event served as both a platform for knowledge exchange and an opportunity to build synergies among projects committed to environmental education, circular economy, and youth empowerment.

AJEA’s participation and leadership at this international gathering highlight its continued commitment to promoting sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and innovation among young people across Europe.
